I do. I really do.
However, that's not what I'm here for. I'm here to protest the lack of good Christmas stories, my friends. I mean, a flying unicorn? Sherlock jumping off a -- oh, that's something else...
You people make me sad. Thankfully, I've finished my science exams, yay, so now I'm free for writing, reviewing, and blogging.
I can see you weeping tears of joy. Stop that. I will eat that unicorn you wrote about.
You know who you are.
Tired, slightly crazy chick out. Peace, love, and sustainably sourced books!
Look, I know what this blog is called, but for the love of God, DON'T go nibbling your first edition of Frankenstein, please.

Christmas time, mistletoe and non-alcoholic beverages...
It's Christmas, and yet I don't feel very Christmassy. Hmm. Now why on earth could that be? Could it be the gazillion times I've sung carols since the beginning of December? Could it be that Googlemail has decided to fail on me and now only works by laptop (rather than mobile)? Could it be that posting this is flouting my rules of holiday revision (revise for your January science exams between three and four, you lazy cow)? Possibly. But I think it's more likely because I haven't read any nice Christmas tales.
Which is why I'm starting up EatMyBook's first ever competition -- a Christmas one!
You got a short story you want to tell the world? Is it Christmas related, and therefore irrelevant for most of the time?
Send it in!
The only conditions are that it's suitable for a 15 year old to read and that it's original. The winner gets their story posted on my blog, PLUS my unending gratitude that one of my millions of fans is actually out there and good at writing Christmas tales.
To enter, just end a tweet with the hashtag #charlieeatmyxmastale and I'll send you my email address so you can send me your story. If you don't have Twitter, post a comment below and I'll work something techy out.
Merry Christmas! Fellow seasonal writer out!

It's about time I plugged the Vampire Academy series
As the title suggests, this post is all about the awesomeness that is Vampire Academy (and Bloodlines), though I can't fairly review any of them since it's been such a long time since I read the first one the first time, and I wouldn't want to write a review for something that I have found a love of due to other books in the series -- not to say that VA#1 isn't awesome -- or write a review for one of the newer ones and leave some of you awesome people out just because you're ignorant.
Just read them, and I will be your best friend forever. If you're into your paranormal-romance, but find Bella way too wimpy, then this is the series (serieses (?) including Bloodlines) for you.
Also... the Vampire Academy series has an awesome, happy ending -- but not too happy or cheesy or out of the realm of believability for those of you sick of Twilight.
This whole series gets five stars.
VA fan out!

Hello again!
Okay, so, awkward. I'm sorry, blog. Eat My Book enthusiasts. I am truly sorry it's been however long it's been, but, to be honest, I was contemplating ending our relationship. I mean, it's all about the sex anyway right?
Okay, now I've weirded you out enough...
You like to read. Do you like to write? You better. I've got the website for you (but you know, I don't do very well with technology, so--) just search nanowrimo ywp. Try and write a novel in a month! I'm panicking already!
Scared writer out and probably never coming back! Heeeelllppp!

Death Bringer (Skulduggery Pleasant) by Derek Landy
The blurb doesn't do this one justice, so I'll just make my own up : 'Lord Vile is still on the loose. Melancholia is proclaimed the Death Bringer. Madness ensues as Skulduggery and Valkyrie try to sort everything out. Nothing is as it seems.'
