Book Review: The Fiery Heart (Bloodlines #4) by Richelle Mead

Between her witch classes with Ms T and tip-toeing around Zoe, Sydney doesn't have much time for her relationship with Adrian, but they make do. However, when new discoveries are made about restoring Strigoi and what's really in Marcus' tattoos, the couple find themselves on dangerous paths...

I have several things to say before normal viewing resumes...

Okay, number one: I have a lot of ideas (more on why in a later post) so you are going to get a lot more posts from me than usual in the next few days/weeks, depending on when I want to share them, since I'm gonna draft them now, mwahahaha... they'll be (hopefully) exciting!

Number two: yes, for those of you who noticed that I did a book review yesterday, I have stopped reading Les Miserables. There'll be more on that later too.

Number three: I am attempting to write my first ever script (it's for a drama thing at school) so if anyone has any general tips, comment away!

Number four: I am also (yes I always put a lot on my own plate, I'm greedy and have an attention defecit) writing a modern-times-set short story retelling of Hamlet. Exciting!

Number five: It is snowing buckets here. Yay! Apocalypse time!

Number six: I'll leave you with this... FIERY HEART EXERPTS! THANK YOU RICHELLE MEAD AND PENGUIN! They are here and here. Exciting!

Good news, everyone!

Those of you who follow anything or anyone VA-based will probably already know this, but I'll tell you anyway:

Fiery Heart (Bloodlines No.4) will be out on 19th November... THIS YEAR!

I know, right? We don't have to wait a whole year! Just 6 months and 29 days! Hurrah!

Having a rubbish Valentine's Day?

Me too, my friends, me too. But thankfully, help is here!
 Three words: The Indigo Spell.
It came out on Tuesday, so of course I finished it yesterday, and not only was it brilliant, but, Sydrian fans, reading it today will DEFINITELY make you feel better. Trust me. I was screeching like a teenage girl. Probably because I AM a teenage girl, but whatever. The feels will make your brain implode. I was not expecting how amazingly happy one book could make me feel. It's ruined any sort of relationship I will ever have, because there is nothing more amazing that can ever happen than Adrian and Sydney, but there you go.
Read it.

I hope you haven't missed me...

...because I've been gone for YONKS. I'm afraid, bloggerinos, that I have been in a re-read mood for a good while now (aka I just don't have any good books screaming to be read on my Kindle). So I haven't been posting. Darn. But a few cool things have been a-happening, if you wanted to know:
Firstly, I've been back to school. This is not a good thing, but is something that has happened. FACT.
Secondly, I finished my second draft of Wings and a Prayer over the hols! Hurray! As much as it had become my baby, the poor thing had to end at some point, even if it meant not hitting the big 50K words I was aiming for. Poor sweetheart was dragging a little.
In addition, I am now EDITING afore said thingymawhatsit (don't worry, I did give myself a bit of a break before diving into the whole business). If anyone has any super-epic editing tips, I'm all ears, because I'm a slight amount of useless at the whole thing.
Also... umm... yeah, that's it. My life is now on emotional hold as I wait for the epicness that will be The Evolution of Mara Dyer on 23rd Oct. I am EXTREMELY excited. I'm also majorly psyched for the new MCR singles coming out, which my last post will attest too. And, as ridiculous as it seems, I am also on the edge of my seat waiting for The Indigo Spell. Yes, VA/Bloodlines fans, we DO have to wait 'til February.
 Grrr.
Other than that (and various GCSE CAs), nowt is going on. How depressing.

Review: The Golden Lily

So, the review bit is a lie. By now, I am so shockingly biased towards anything in the land of Vampire Academy that it really isn't worth anyome asking for my honest opinion, but hey! Any chance to convert vampire fans to the cause of good vampire books, right?
The Golden Lily is the second book in the Bloodlines series (a spin-off from the Vampire Academy series). It's all based around Sydney, an Alchemist -- a human tasked with hiding vampires from the rest of her species -- and her issues with her new mission to keep Jill Mastrano Dragomir, sister of the Moroi queen, from all the scary rebel people. Unfortunately, Jill has had to bring a bit of an entourage. There's Eddie, the guardian who's in love with her; Angeline, a Keeper and dhampir who's been kept away from the real world all her life; and her big-brother figure, Adrian. In this book of the series, not only is Adrian a total (hot) pain in the arse, but Sydney also has to fight vampire hunters... and her very own Alchemist demons.

It's about time I plugged the Vampire Academy series

As the title suggests, this post is all about the awesomeness that is Vampire Academy (and Bloodlines), though I can't fairly review any of them since it's been such a long time since I read the first one the first time, and I wouldn't want to write a review for something that I have found a love of due to other books in the series -- not to say that VA#1 isn't awesome -- or write a review for one of the newer ones and leave some of you awesome people out just because you're ignorant.
Just read them, and I will be your best friend forever. If you're into your paranormal-romance, but find Bella way too wimpy, then this is the series (serieses (?) including Bloodlines) for you.
Also... the Vampire Academy series has an awesome, happy ending -- but not too happy or cheesy or out of the realm of believability for those of you sick of Twilight.
This whole series gets five stars.
